Steve Grogan

Steve Grogan was born in Troy, NY, where he has spent most of his life. (For those of you who care to know such things, he is a Leo. If you are more into Eastern astrology, he was born in the Year of the Dragon…just like Bruce Lee.)

Up until ninth grade Steve had been writing short horror stories. The turning point in his life came when a friend told him the song “Killing an Arab” (by goth rock pioneers the Cure) was based on a book called THE STRANGER by Albert Camus.

Intrigued, Steve bought the book, and his world changed forever. After that he got into more experimental literature like ULYSSES by James Joyce, NAKED LUNCH by William S. Burroughs, and GRAVITY’S RAINBOW by Thomas Pynchon. Steve has applied this unique blend of influences to every story he writes, whether it is horror, science fiction, action, or drama.

Over the years, Steve has had several short stories and poems published in various magazines. He has a book of poetry (FOR THOSE IN SHADOWS) on Amazon, as well as a beginner’s guide to martial arts (THE SEARCH FOR THE WARRIOR’S PATH). FUN FACT: You can see those books by clicking on their names. *wink wink*

REDemption is his first foray into comic book writing.
